Jack is the hero. His wife is Jill. They are newly married. They have a small baby. Jack works in an office. Jill is a homemaker. Jack wants to live a luxurious life. Aunt Jane Visits the house of Jill and Jack. The house of Jill and Jack is well furnished. As Aunt Jane enters they had a conversation about the radiogram. As a wedding present, Aunt Jane has given 200 pounds and She wonders whether she has given 2000 pounds as a gift. But the house is very grand. Jack's salary is very low. But his house is beautiful. Jack and Jill have all comfort. They have a car and a radio. They have a refrigerator. Jane is surprised. 
Aunt Jane understands the truth that Jill and Jack have purchased everything in installments.
They do not own anything. Jack's salary is 6 pounds a week. But his expense is seven pounds eight and eight pence a week. But the expense is more. 
Jack says that he borrowed money again from "Thrift and Providence Trust Corporation" to pay for his installments. 
Jack and Jill only own the steering wheel, one of the tyres and two of the cylinders. Aunt Jane wants to help Jack and Jill. So, she gave 10 pounds.
Aunt Jane has a motto in life "I've never owned a penny in my life - cash down". And she also expects Jack and Jill to be the same. Jill calls the nurse immediately to post the money to Doctor Martin.
Jack was angry as he wants to pay for the car. Jill convinces Jack. She pays the money to Doctor Martin so that they can own their baby. Thus, this one-act play is very humorous. Jack buys luxury products in installments because he falls into the trap called "buy now pay later" .This one-act play emphasizes the importance of efficient finance management for a happy life.
